Argo CD deploying from Git: a preview of where the course takes you

Create a kind cluster, install Argo CD, deploy an app straight from Git, break it and watch Argo CD put it back. Then point it at your own repo and ship a change with a commit.

This is a preview, not the first step. It runs the finished setup with few explanations, so you can see where you are heading. To learn it, start the full course: it builds the same thing from nothing and explains every piece.

This preview

One cluster, one app, the core loop: Git, sync, drift, self-heal. Commands to copy, few explanations. Good to see where you are heading, or as a demo for your team.

The full course

14 modules: install and upgrade from Git, Helm, Kustomize, three repos, secrets, projects and RBAC, hooks and waves, debugging labs and a capstone.

Your setup

Every command below uses these values. They stay in this browser and are shared with the full course. Needs Docker, kind, kubectl, Helm, the argocd CLI and gh.

    What just happened

your commit ──> GitHub ──(Argo CD polls every minute)──> repo-server renders Kustomize │ application-controller compares ─────┘──> sync ──> checkout-dev (Healthy) and keeps comparing: kubectl changes are reverted (self-heal)

The full course builds this properly: Argo CD managing itself from Git, three repositories, sealed secrets, team boundaries, ordering and debugging. The reference repo has the finished setup.
