platformengr · certificates

Certificates you earn in your own repo

Finish a track, then take an exam that grades the platform you built, a scenario made for you, and a short design answer. Pass all three and you get a certificate anyone can verify.

You'll sign in with GitHub, and the voucher gives you three exam attempts.

02 the exam

One submission, three parts, all must pass

You submit the whole exam at once. Each part is graded on its own, automatically, and you only see the result when all three are done.

03 what you get

A certificate people can check

A public verify page

Your name, the certificate and the date at platformengr.com/verify/<id>, for anyone you send it to.

Add to LinkedIn

One click fills in the certificate, the issuer and the link, so it shows on your profile.

Open Badges credential

A standard, machine-readable version of the certificate that other systems can verify.

04 vouchers

Redeem a voucher

A certificate exam is €149, with three attempts. A voucher covers all of it.

  1. Open the voucher link you were given, or type the code in the box at the top of this page.
  2. Sign in with GitHub. The voucher is added to your account and gives you three exam attempts.
  3. When you have finished the track, start the exam from your dashboard.

Voucher links look like platformengr.com/redeem/CODE. Each code is for one certificate or both, and campaign codes have an end date.

05 questions

Questions

What does it cost?

The courses are free to read and need no account. Certification is what you pay for: €149 per certificate, with three exam attempts. A voucher covers that in full. We give vouchers out through our campaigns, meetups and partners. Card payment is not open yet, so for now the way in is a voucher; if you don't have one, ask us through the contact page.

What do I need before the exam?

A GitHub account, the two courses of the track finished in your own GitHub repositories (for private ones, install our GitHub App so we can read them), and your learner code from your dashboard committed there, so we know the work is yours.

What does the exam check in my repository?

We read your repository at the commit you submit. It is rendered and validated the way the courses build it, and checked against the scenario you were given. We never run your code or install its dependencies.

How is the written answer graded?

An AI model grades it against a rubric, with your answer treated as data, never as instructions. It is one of three parts and can never pass an exam on its own. Your answer is sent to our AI grading provider (OpenAI by default) for this, as our privacy notice explains.

How fast is the result?

Usually within minutes. You can wait on the page, where the result appears when it is ready, or close it and read the email.

What if I fail?

You see which parts did not pass and short feedback on the written answer. Each voucher gives you three attempts.

Can I keep the exam open in two tabs?

No. The exam may be open in one window at a time. Opening it in a second tab, window or device fails the attempt. You will be asked to confirm this before you start.

How do employers check my certificate?

Every certificate has a public page at platformengr.com/verify/<id> and a machine-readable Open Badges credential. You can add it to LinkedIn with one click.
